Facilities
Chained Oak Farm is an ideal location for walking, bike riding, quad biking and horse riding.
There are facilites for stabling and grazing should you wish to bring your own horse or pony.
Chained Oak Farm is 10 minutes hack to the Sabrina Way. This ride was opened in Gloucester by HRH the princess
royal. The Sabrina Way starts in Derbyshire and goes into Staffordshire, Worcestershire and Gloucester finishing
at Great Barrington.
The Chained Oak woodlands and Dimmingsdale join to form the valley which stretches from Alton to Threapwood and
across to Oakamoore. Dimmingsdale is filled with tracks, paths, woodlands and lakes; an absolutely stunning setting
for walking and riding.
Take a 5 minute walk throught the Chained Oak woodland. Visitors are welcome to bring their own quads and bikes and make
use of the facility at no extra charge. The track is primarily designed for childern, it's a single width off-road
course. You can see further photos of the course in The Gallery. The course is striclty for visitor and
family use only.
The local towns around Alton have a good number of pubs and restaurants (Italian, Chinese, Bangladeshi, Indian etc).
Most do take away and will deliver; we will provide the dining room for your convenience.
If you wish to enjoy the evenings outside, we can provide the perfect setting with a BBQ, a wonderful way to enjoy
the views and watch the sun set. BBQ, fridge, plates etc are provided.
We also offer ample parking either open or covered for several vehicles.
Thos who wish to take a 10 minute walk and save on the car parking fees at Alton Towers are welcome to leave their vehicle
at Chained Oak Farm during the day.
With large gardens and woodlands, Chained Oak Farm is the ideal place to relax.
